First email banner software launches
February 11, 2009
Aimed at businesses that combined send thousands of emails each day, Glooq are launching their ad-banner provider in the UK. (Source: Brand Republic)
The software allows a business to set up various advertising images which are then shuffled within the email. Stats are then available to show the number of times the banners are clicked.
Glooq’s client base includes big names like Audi and Motorola, which leaves me confused…
Every business has an advertising budget and simple Flash/HTML banners aren’t complicated to produce – so apart from simplifying the production process, the businesses that take up the Glooq software are surely lagging behind modern advertising conventions?

glooq is a great tool. It gives businesses the option of including banners in every email they send – turning all their corporate email into a powerful marketing platform. This is the most advanced ad technology there is on the market today. Imagine a company of 100 people – glooq is installed on their email server once and the marketing manager then controls the banners from a central management system for all his employees. In times of recession companies must use everything they have to market themselves. Using their emails is the best low-cost solution there is

Hi Pavel,
Thanks for your comment. I completely agree that glooq is a great tool and would not be surprised if you do well in increasing your UK based clients. My point is that surely larger businesses with huge marketing budgets would already be employing similar tactics in their emails. To businesses that are new to email ad-banner marketing, glooq would definitely be the simpler option.

Thanks Laura,
Good point but you’ll be surprised, as were we, how especially the big companies tend to overlook this most important marketing channel. Because they are so big and tend to go for the trivial medias (TV, Press Outdoor etc) they forget the most valuable immediate media they have- their own emails. glooq is the only technology that allows business to run ads on thier emails from a central management system with very little cost and great simplicity.
